UTAH GREAT 8'S FIRST EVER IAL WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Utah Great 8's become the first-ever International Arena League Champions, beating the Cincinnati Slingers 62-59.

The championship clash between the first-seeded Slingers and second-seeded Great 8's provided non-stop action, violent hits, and high scoring that the IAL has become known for. The Cincinnati Slingers led 31-26 at halftime led by astounding performances of QB Charles McCullum and IAL Offensive Player of the Year Andison Coby (WR).

The back-and-forth of the game continued into the second half keeping fans from both sides on the very edges of their seats. Ultimately the Utah special teams came up with a huge onside kick in the 4th quarter that allowed head coach Siaha Burley and QB Ramone Atkins to lead a game winning drive late in game.
